We've always been Passionate About Play and delight in finding toys and games for kids that develop them, to give them loads of fun and encourage them to play outside. Our vision and philosophy are firmly rooted in the successful development of children through fun, stimulating and active play.

Little Nut Tree Toys was started in June 2003 as at the time it was hard to find good quality, educational toys for my daughter. We started with 50 toys and games that were sold from stands at offices and fairs around the North of England. The website soon followed – and because people loved our toys so much it soon became the only way we could show off our growing range. Since then we've grown and grown, and now offer over 700 products ranging from soft toys and rattles for babies, to games and puzzles, books, wooden dolls houses and furniture, train tracks and accessories, Plan toys, wooden castles, trikes, bikes, ride ons, garden play equipment, puppets and puppet theatres, plus arts and crafts materials.

In October 2008 we opened our first shop in Chorlton, South Manchester, which gave us the opportunity of being able to speak to our customers face to face and fine out what products people loved and what they would like to see in their local toy shop. As a result of chatting to people we have added Playmobil, Lego and Meccano plus pocket money toys and basic arts and crafts materials. We’ve also tried really hard to make sure that there are products for all ranges from birth up to 10 and for all budgets. The one thing that hasn't changed – we still love finding and offering some of the best toys in the world! And following on from this years toy fairs we added even more products!!

Our new website came on line during March 2009 and we hope that the new addition of the toy finder will be useful and will help to fulfil the role that we offer here in the shop, that of giving advice and pointers to people looking for that perfect toy or gift. We take a real pride, not just in our products, but in the old fashioned and personal customer service that we offer both in the shop and to our online customers, and we are always happy to offer advice and suggestions over the phone or via email.
