Games & Puzzles
As with everything, suggested age ranges depend totally on where your child is at any particular time. We may recommend a puzzle for say a 3 year old, but your 3 year old maybe romping ahead with 5 or 6 year old puzzles - it's quite common. Similarly with games - what one child will grasp quite quickly another child may struggle with in the beginning. In this section we have gathered together a selection of games and puzzles that cross a broad spectrum of skills: language development, hand-eye coordination, colour recognition, simple social skills such as turn taking (ouch - that one hurts youngsters). Games such as the Fairytale Spinner Game from Eeboo, they have not only developed a fabulous simple spinning game but have moved it on a stage further so that the winner then goes on to create a story with all the pieces they have collected. Or the Tell A Story cards, these are again fantastic for developing your kids imagination at a time when they may struggle with coming up with fantastical stories. The Demon and Diva Dice are an incredible tool for helping speed up mental arithmetic and not only that make for loads of fun (you really do say Aaaaahhh!) and are perfect as a travel or cafe / restaurant toy. Our aim is to seek out the best and most fun games, puzzles and toys in the market and will be constantly adding to this section. Oh! And Bananagram - if you haven't got it already, it really is a must have... for adults and kids alike!
