Wooden pick up sticks, or Mikado, are great for developing hand eye coordination and fine motor skills and is also a fantastic fun family game. For those of you who've never played - simply gather all the stocks together vertically and let them fall. The name of the game is to pick as many sticks as you can without the other sticks move - the trouble is, when they've all landed on top of each other, preventing the movement of others is incredibly difficult... but possible!
